10-YEAR PLAN UPDATE:
A power point presentation is being developed to present to service providers to heighten awareness about the issues of homelessness. Forty-five local agencies are going to brainstorm and draft a plan at the first meeting. More specific data on homeless veterans is needed. Public awareness through newspaper articles on homelessness needs to be increased.

Red River Valley Community Action, located in Grand Forks, ND, has opened a Supportive Housing Project. The project will provide housing for homeless men and women and their families who have incomes below 125% of the federal poverty level and have at least one adult member with a substance abuse disorder, mental illness, or other developmental or physical disability.
