10-YEAR PLAN UPDATE:
10 year plan meeting was held at the Corp building on Thursday, July 26.

The Bismarck/Mandan community had a June 13, 2007 news conference with the mayors of those cities announcing the 10-year plan to end long-term homelessness. The committee is meeting for four sessions with the first meeting held on July 12. The goal is to have the plan developed by the end of October. On November 15, 2007 there will be a public awareness conference. A consultant is being hired and an additional $500 is needed. United Way, the county housing authority and the county government have all contributed funds. Philip Mangano, Executive Director, United States Interagency Council on Homelessness, will try to be in Bismarck before the November 15 public awareness conference to meet with the steering committee. Work is being done on arranging a meeting between Mr. Mangano and Governor Hoeven. A representative of the Dickinson 10-year plan steering committee is joining the Bismarck/Mandan meetings.
